The year 1903 brought continued public use of Yost's park, the land at the mouth of Turtle Creek. A siding collision at the park injured passengers in August, and in September a baseball game between Bass Creek and the Clinton Maroons drew about eight hundred people, followed days later by an injury to a mail carrier at another ball game there.
