The Rock River flooded; the operator judges it would almost certainly have reached the site of the Standing Post (Ke-Chunk) village beside the river, on the property.
Why it matters: Context for a narrative: the river rising over the old village ground in the park's last years.
Where it stands: Unverified (operator, 2026-09-27). Not in our corpora or clippings; a web search found no account of this flood (a Wisconsin library history notes Rock River gauge records begin about 1929). Look in the April 1930 Janesville Daily Gazette and Beloit Daily News.
