The second Bass Creek–Clinton Maroons ball game was played at Yost's park before about eight hundred people; Bass Creek won in the eleventh inning, 5-innings tied at 5 to 5 after nine.

William Lennartz, a well-known mail carrier, was seriously hurt (broken nose) at a ball game at Yost's park, as reported in the Janesville Daily Gazette of that date (the paper says "yesterday").
