In 1910, the land at the mouth of Turtle Creek hosted events at Yost's Park. In June, the second Rock County M. W. A. picnic was held with free admission to the grounds, the Rock Co. Soldiers and Sailors' association held its annual picnic with an address by Rev. W. J. McKay of Madison, and the Great Carver show opened featuring a 40-foot plunge on horseback and diving horses, its first performance delayed one day because the tank had not been filled with water. A Big League baseball game between Janesville and Beloit, both teams composed entirely of Big League players, was played at the park on a Sunday with 25-cent admission and half-hour service on the interurban road. ↗ ↗ ↗ ↗
