The evidence

• “Beloit; born in Rutland Co., Vt.,in 1831. He came to this county in May, 1857, located in Newark Township, and bought forty-five and one-half acres of land in Section 14, on which he built a handsome residence and barns, made all improvements, and now occupies it. He afterward bought more land at different times, and now owns 265 acres in Sees. 14 and 15, with all improvements.”
