• “HENRY SEWELL, Pastor of First Methodist Episcopal Church; born in England Sept. 11, 1832 ; spent boyhood in Madison, N. J. ; removed to New York at tlie age of 15, and remained there till coming West in 1852 ; was educated at Scherrill's Classical Seminary, at Madison, N. J., and is also a graduate of the High School in the same place ; was foreman and salesman in an extensive umbrella and parasol house in New York City for six years ; was farming four years in Rock Co.”
