• “Me., in 1809, moved from Maine (where James P., our subject's father, was born in 1810) to Eaton, province of Quebec, in 1812, thence to Michigan in 1834. They moved to Illinois, in the early fifties, and afterwards lived for a time in Wisconsin.”
