The evidence

• “P. 0. Avon ; born in New York in September, 1831 ; came to Wisconsin in 1855, locating at Avon, where the early part of his life was spent with his father; in 1865, he purchased 240 acres, afterward adding 280 acres to his present homestead. Married, in 1858, Miss Susan Rickar, a native of Ohio, who died at Avon in 1869 ; had seven children, four living.”
