GOODALE, City Treasurer ; was born in Amherst, Mass., Aug. 31, 1823 ; came to Beloit July 3, 1845, locating at Troy, Walworth Co.; from Amherst he moved to Troy, Wis., where he engaged in farming ; from Troy he moved to Beloit, where he followed farming for ten years, during the wini;crs of which time he manufactured brooms, which were sold in the neighboring towns and Chicago; he then took a situation with the Beloit Paper Mill Company, and afterward with the Rock River Paper Company, in whose employ he now is. Mr.”
