• “MICHAEL COLE, farmer, P. 0. Afton ; born in Northampton Co., Peun., in 1824; came to Wisconsin in 1852, locating on Sec. 10 ; sold his farm in 1870, and came to Afton after a trip east to Pennsylvania, and one west through Iowa and Missouri. He married Miss Mary Clapper, of Sharon, Wis., in 1854 ; they have four children — Janie, George, Henry and Lillie.”
