• “P. 0. Beloit; born in Ireland Oct. 3, 1823; son of James Jack, who came to Turtle in Jatiuary, 1846, and was one of the oldest and most respected settlers. Archibald, in 1851, bought 115 acres in Turtle, in Sections 33 and 34, and, through industry and frugality, has a good home and is in comfortable circumstances.”
