• “Frederick Gould, who for many years w^as one of the honored men of Rock county, was a native of Clayton, Jefferson county, New York. He was born August 12, 1830, to Amos and Cynthia (Smith) Gould, both natives of the Bay state, the father born in Charlton and the mother in Birkshire county. Both went with their parents to Jefferson county.”
