• “F. HERMAN BUCHHOLZ, carriage-maker; born in April, 1839, in Germany; came to America in 1857, settled in Janesville, and engaged in present business. Married Dretha Passuin, January, 1863 ; she was born in Berlin, Germany, March, 1842 ; they have four children — Willie, Ida, George and Carl, aged 14, 12, 4 and 4 respectively, the last two being twins.”
