• “BROWN, commission merchant, Edgerton ; born in Queensbury, Warren Co., N. Y., June 1, 1831 ; son of Schuyler and Lydia (Simpson), who came to Wisconsin and settled at Albion, Dane Co., in 1845 ; their family consisted of seven boys and one girl. ]l. R., the youngest of the family, started in business for himself at a very early age; for the past thirteen years, has been engaged in the lun)ber trade, and in live stock for eighteen years, which trade he is now engaged in for a Milwaukee firm.”
