“PETER TOMKINS, s^ation master, freight and ticket agent and telegraph operator, Milton ; born in Ireland Feb. 17, 1829 ; came to America spring of 1851, locating in Rock Co., Wis., and went to work on farm for Mr. Vincent for four years ; in 1853, went into employ of the Milwaukee & Mississippi R.”
