• “Robert H. Clinchy, of 936 Harrison avenue, Beloit, Wis., is a native son of this place, born on June 4, 1852, to John and Anne (Henry) Clinchy, who left their home in Ireland in 1845 and came to Wisconsin and bought a farm six miles northwest of Beloit, where they made their home until 1872, when the father retired from active life and resided in his city home until the time of his death, which occurred in 1898 at the age of seventynine years. Mother Clinchy died in 1886 at the age of seventyone years.”
