• “In 1854, he engaged in the produce business, buying hogs, cattle, grain, etc., and shipping to market. In the fall of 1857, he bought out one-half interest in the milling business from Mr. John Hackett ; in 1867, bought out the other half, and shortly after sold out the entire interest, Mr, Blodgett is still engaged in the produce business.”
