The revised laws of Wisconsin were reported to the legislature and published as the Revised Statutes of 1858.

The evidence

• “Lovell — were appointed "to collect, compile and digest the general laws " of Wisconsin. Their report was submitted to the legislature of 1858, and acted upon at a late day of the session. The laws revised, which received the sanction of the legislature, were published in one volume, and constitute what is know as the Revised Statutes of 1858.”
