• “Fairfield; born in Dorsetshire, England, in 1829 ; came to Wisconsin in 1847, locating at Brighton, Kenosha Co.; remained about eight years, where he engaged in farming ; in 1855, he moved to Bradford, where he purctased 296 acres — his present homestead. Married, in January, 1860, Miss Fanny Woodman, a native of Wiltshire. England ; hiid three children — Frederick, born in 1861, died at the age of 3 months;”
