“Hiram Merrill, a native of Adams, Jefferson county, N. Y., was born in 1829 to David and Eunice (Lord) Merrill, both of whom were natives of Maine. His father, who settled in Milwaukee, Wis., in the fall of 1837, prior to settling there was for some years a hotelkeeper at Messena, St.”
