• “Beloit ; born at Rome, N. Y., in 1830, and in 1857 he came to Rock Co., Wis., and located in the town of Janesville ; in the fall of the same year, he came to Beloit Township and bought seventy-two and one-half acres of land in Section 3, with a house on it ; he improved the house, built barns, etc., and now has a very comfortable place. He married in Wayne, Penn., in 1854, Lola A.”
