The evidence

• “Sec. 19; P.O.Milton Junction; bornin Tompkins Co.,N.Y., Feb. 15, 1807 ; was educated till 1831, when he went to Orleans Co., N. Y., where he lived till he came to Wisconsin, May 16, 1840; lived]one year at Milton; settled on his present homestead on Sec. 19, in 1841, which consists oi' 140 acres; the farm originally (his first purchase), was 260 acres, which he has divided between his sons.”
