• “P. 0. Beloit, born in Litchfield Co., Conn., in 1829; his parents moved to Livingston Co., N. Y., when he was 8 years old ; in 1842, they came to Beloit, and his father, Charles Peck, bought eighty acres of Government land in Section 13, and afterward 120 acres more in Sections 13, 14, a total of 200 acres, which he sold to his son, Augustus R.”
