1929
In January 1929, Beloit experienced a spell of slippery winter weather that halted bus service on January 9, leaving passengers to use the interurban or steam cars; a bus bound for Janesville reached only as far as Yost Park, north of the city, before service stopped for the day. The Beloit Daily Independent commented on the situation on January 10, and the Milwaukee Magazine reprinted the paper's item in March. ↗ ↗
