The evidence

• “Magnolia; born Feb. 11, 1825, in Herkiniei Co., N. Y., and worked on his father's farm till about 1840, when they sold out; in 1847, he came to Wisconsin, and located in Magnolia Township and bought 180 acres of land of Mr. Morrell, who moved a log cabin on to the land for him ; he built his homestead in 1855, and now owns 170 acres of land and raises all kinds of grain and stock.”
