• “I., where the father, an engineer, followed his vocation some fourteen years. In 1859 he brought his family to Rock county, Wisconsin, and settled on an eighty-acre tract of land in section 26, Clinton township, which he improved and where he made a home and reared his family and lived until his decease in 1876. He was a successful and prosperovis farmer and worthy citizen.”
