“P. 0. Afton ; born in Hanover, Germany, in 1834; came to America in 1849, and settled in New York City, where he was engaged in the grocery business twentynine years ; came to Rock Co. in 1878, and located on the farm he now owns of 160 acres. Married Miss Elizabeth Weber, of New York City, in 1862 ; they have two children — Frederic H., born in 1863, and Susan M., born 1865.”
