• “In the year 1848, it was chartered under the name of Du Lac Academy, by which name it was known until the year 1854; the charter was then renewed under the name of "The Milton Academy," by which name it is now known. A large, spacious and substantial building was erected in the year 1855; and it is now in a flourishing condition, and under the guidance of Prof. A.”
