Cleophas and Kari Holverson came to this country from Norway with their first child, settling first in Dane county, Wisconsin.

• “Rock county, Wisconsin, where he was born February 4, 1853. He is the youngest son of a family of six children, of whom five are now (1907) living, born to Cleophas Holverson and Kari Holverson, who came to this country from Norway in 1843. The parents, with their first child, settled first in Dane county, Wisconsin, but in 1844 they moved to Rock county and settled on a tract of forty acres, now ow^ned by our subject.”
