Hubbard entered the land on which he settled with his family in 1845 (Union Township).

• “Mr. Hubbard came to Wisconsin, with his wife and family of three sons, in 1845, and settled on the land he had entered in 1840. He engaged in improving and cultivating his land, and continued farming until hia death, July 17, 1877, leaving his widow with four children ; a daughter having been born to them on the farm in Union Township, Rock Co., where the widow still resides, she preferring to remain on the old homestead, although the children have all married and gone to homes of their own.”
