• “Dickson is one of the representiitive men of the Northwest, an early settler and one who has identified himself closely with its progress ; he has successfully borne all the hardships and privations incident to such a life, and they have developed in him, as a natural result, both physical vigor and the sturdy moral a-nd mental health which are secured by the constant practice of industry and thrift. On the 21st of November, 1832, Mr. Dickson was united in marriage to Lorinda, daughter of Mr.”
