“It is divided into thirteen School Distriets, ten of which are.joint districts ; eleven school houses and $53 scholars. In the year 1854 the town received from the State School Fund $244,80; in 1855 $284,16. Paul Crandall, Esq., one of the Delegates from this County to form the present State Constitution, was a citizen of this town.”
