A meeting at Evansville resolved to establish a seminary of high grade there and elected a Board of Trustees.

• “Comfort a good opportunity to get a seminary located at Evansville. Accordihgly, on August 10, 1855, a meeting called by these two gentlemen was held, at which it was resolved to esjtablish a seminary of high grade at Evansville, for the education of the youth of both sexes, and the persons present at the meeting thereupon elected a Board of Trustees, consisting of the following gentlemen : Ezra A. Foot, Henry G.”
