• “Mr. Miller, Sr., came with his family to Wisconsin, in the spring of 1842, and bought 160 acres of land in Janesville Township ; he returned to New York State and remained there till 1845 ; he came again to Wisconsin, bringing his family with him. This time he bought 240 acres of land in Harmony Township ; to this farm he moved his family, and went to work industriously and built barns, granary, outbuilding, house, etc.”
