• “Milwaukee, Wis., November 29, 1859. To the Wardens and Vestry of Christ Church, Jariesville, Gbntlemen : Your favor, inviting me to take charge of your parish as its Rector, has been received, and as Ciinonically, I cannot at present act as Rector of a parish, I therefore accept your call to enter upon my duties from the time of my ordination to the priesthood in January next, and, previously to that time, will act aa your minister as soon as I can make arrangements for ihe resignation of my position here as Pastor of the Church of the Atonement and member of the Board of Education in this city.”
