• “PIERCE WALLIHAN, Footville; was born in Columbiana Co., Ohio, in 1810; until he was 17 years of age, he was engaged in farming ; in 1828, he went to Youngstown to learn the tailor's trade ; commenced business for himself in 1832 ; came to Wisconsin in 1855, and located in what is now called Footville, and went into the mercantile business ; continued that until 1859, then went to. farming ; followed that for three years, then went to Colorado ; was Postmaster there for five years ; returned to Footville in 1876 ; served as Town Treasurer since his residence in the town. Married Miss Lucy Flower in 1832 ; she was born in Ohio ; she died in March, 1877 ; they had eleven children ; three are dead ; in 1878, Mr.”
