The evidence

• “Budd and John P. Dickson, Esqs., principally, this road was projected, the company organized, route surveyed, and a large amount of stock subscribed ; when in 1854, by a mutual arrrangement, it was consolidated with, and made a part of, the Milwaukeo and Mississippi railroad. At the present time it is under contract, and will be constructed to Monroe, Green county, probably within the year.”
