• “They were married in Thompson, Conn., in 1833 ; had three children when they came to Newark — Mary (born in October, 1834, and died in Newark July 26, 1878), Jerome B. (born January, 1839, and died in the army May 21, 1862), Vernon S. (born February, 1842, and is now living).”
