The evidence

• “ElililiS DOTY (deceased), Janesville, whose portrait appears in this work, was born in Lockport, Niagara Co., N. Y., on the 6th day of September, 1838, and was therefore in the 34th year of his age at the time of his death. In 1841, he came to Rock Co. and settled, with his. father's family, in the town of Turtle.”
