JOHN E, IIA.WSOX, of the firm of Riley & Mawson, grocers, Edi^erton ; born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, June 15, 1832; son of John and Elizabeth (Craig) Mawson; came to America in 1853, landing in New York ; removed from there to Philadelphia, where he resided len years, and then moved to Edgerton, Wis., and from there to Janesville, remaining four years ; returne \ to Edgerton, where he formed a partnership with his sister, Mrs. Riley, in 18G7.”
