• “They had five children; one died, aged 3 years; four living — Maty F., Harriet L., Eliza L. and Laura J. — all married and living in different States. In 1847, they came to Rock Co. and bought the farm Mrs. B. now occupies, eighty acres in Sec. 25, in Newark Township, and 80 acres in Sec. 30, Beloit Township ; the town line divides their farm in two.”
