Ledell came to America, and to Janesville in 1853; was there till May, then came to Beloit and worked in the (plow works till 1856 ; then was with Warner & Co., and, in August, 1857, returned to Norway on a visit, and returned in April, 1858, and came to Beloit in June; went into partnership with C. Houston, which continued about a year, then worked for Parker & Stone; was there eight years, then engaged with J.”
