A supplementary act incorporated the Wisconsin & Superior railroad.

• “The grant was accepted by the legislature by an act approved October 8, 1856, and on the nth of the same month an act was approved granting a portion of the lands to the La Crosse & Mississippi railroad company, who were to carry out all the requirements of the origiaal grant. A supplementary act was approved the same session, October 13, incorporating the Wiscomsin & Superior railroad, which company was required to commence the construction of their road on or before January i, 1857, and to complete the same to Oshkosh before August i, 1858.”
