The "City Bank" moved into Lappin's block on its completion.

The evidence

• “This bank opened for business on Main street, a few doors south of the present location of the Bower City bank. While Lappin's block was being built, the "City Bank" occupied quarters on the north side of East Milwaukee street, at the east end of the bridge, and moved across the street into Lappin's block on the completion of that building in December, 1855. H.”
