  • “FERGUSON ; was' born in Factory Village, N. Y, Nov. 13, 1838, and Springs, N. Y. ; thence to Roscoe, 111., and from there to Shirland, 111., where he farmed on his own account, and also learned the carpenter's trade ; enlisted for sixty days in 1862, and re-enlisted in the 156th I.”
