C CARLETON, Hygienic Institute, West Bridge street ; was born in Frankfort, Waldo Co., Maine, July 22, 1840; came to Wisconsin in the fall of 1847, locating at Sheboygan Falls, at which place he was teacher of the High School ; from Sheboygan he removed to Cape Girardeau, still teaching school, thence to Washington, D. C, where he was engaged as short-hand reporter at the Smithsonian Institution ;”
