• “Afton; born Nov. 29, 1831, in Oneida Co., N. Y.; came to Wisconsin with his father, Warren Crossman, in 1848 ; setiled at Beloit; lived one year; moved to the farm of Warren Crossman ; in 1853, George purchased eighty acres on the north half of the southeast quarter of Sec. 34, where he has made a pleasant home ; he owns 138 acres. Married Miss Philena C.”
