“E. Church was organized in 1856 with thirty-seven members, the originators being John Kemerer, Jeremiah Hawley, Jared Dunn, John Rice and Andrew Cromwell. In 1857, the church was built at a cost of $900, the basement being of stone and the remainder of wood.”
