• “Mr. Vandercook laid out the village; he lived there thirteen years; was Chairmiin of the Board of Supervisors in 1853 ; sold out his. entire interest, in 1863, after which, he remained there one year to settle up. Prom there, he went to Waukesha, Wis., in 1864.”
