• “Mr. Lake settled in Clinton in September, 1844, on 160 acres ; has now 200 acres under cultivation, and a fine residence ; has been extensively engaged in the dairy business for the past twenty years; in 1866, made over ten thousand pounds of cheese, which sold for 16 cents per pound. Mr.”
